Azure AD – New settings for user consent (preview)

After introducing the user consent admin workflow (see in November last year, Microsoft has introduced new settings for User Consent.

These new settings allows you to define for which type of application end-user can consent permissions as well as how group owner can define the user consent settings for the applications they own.

These settings are available from the Azure AD Portal ( or Azure portal ( by accessing the Azure Active Directory\Enterprise Applications blade

From there you can configure the settings from the Consent and permissions blade

In addition of these new settings, you can also from the Enterprise Applications\Consent and permissions blade classify applications (Permission classifications blade)


These settings allow you to define the permissions end-users can authorize delegation for application using API  access.
